Description

Our Reclaimed Wood Incense Burner 02 has been crafted from wood salvaged from a shipping pallet. Our ethos is to only work with reclaimed pallet wood because we feel trees should be in the ground helping to combat climate change.

Incense is often used to help create a relaxing mood to help with meditation, massage and many other activities and of course, releasing a pleasant aroma into your room.

By using an incense burner like this one your incense stick is held securely while it burns and the ash is caught in the groove for easy clean up afterwards.

How Reclaimed Wood Incense Burner 02 Was made

These are cut from pallet wood planks that have first been de-nailed and sanded. Following this we “round over” the edges and cut the groove down the middle then drill the holes for the incense sticks.

Reclaimed Wood Incense BurnersNext step is to burn the Incense Burners with a torch until the surface is blistered, much like Crocodile skin to look at.

Then we brush the charred wood off with an abrasive wheel. With a very coarse brush we are able to dig out the softer wood which effectively raises the natural grain.

Finally the Incense Burners are dyed with a water based wood stain and then polished using Liberon Black Bison wax.

Reclaimed Wood Incense Burner 02 has been coloured  using “Flame” dye which is a lovely reddish orange colour.

Size: 30 cm long x 4 cm wide

This one off incense stick holder has holes at both ends and can hold two incense sticks at a time.

A complimentary set of 6 incense sticks will be included with this incense burner.

Note: those made from harder woods do not have as deeper grain as those made from softer woods, but both have a natural beauty of their own. All are put through the process described above,
